FBI Warns Of Attacks on Satellite Networks
The FBI has sent out a warning of possible attacks on satellite terminals and networks, related to the "current geopolitical situation", saying that Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are aware of possible threats to U.S. and international satellite communication (SATCOM) networks. The move comes after equipment from San Diego-based Viasat was hit by a massive communications outage in Europe at the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. SpaceX--which has been supplying its own satellite terminals to Ukraine--has reported that its signals are getting jammed, presumably also around Ukraine.
