First Beverage Ventures Backs VitaCup

Los Angeles-based venture capital investment firm First Beverage Ventures, which specializes in investing in beverage brands, has made an investment in vitamin-infused coffee and tea company VitaCup. Size of the equity funding was not announced. VitaCup offers its single cup, Keurig-style coffee and tea pods online through its own e-commerce channels. First Beverage said VitaCup will use the proceeds to expand sales and marketing, for e-commerce channels, development of additional product offerings, and other efforts. First Beverage's others investments include such companies as alcohol delivery startup Drizly, Project Juice, Essentia, and others.
