Joymode Finds $14M More To Free You From Having To Buy Fun Stuff

Los Angeles-based Joymode, the startup led by Joe Fernandez which is aimed at letting you have all the fun, but none of the clutter and expense, of owning stuff you'd need for a backyard movie night, a camping trip, and many other experiences, has raised $14M in a Series A funding. Joymode said the funding was led by Naspers, and also includes Homebrew. Joymode has now raised $17M in total funding, including a seed funding round it announced in 2016. Joymode's various packages include all you need for experiences, which allows its members to have experiences but none of the expense or pain of storing stuff they only use once. The company's backyard movie package, for example, includes a big screen, projector, popcorn machine, blanket for the lawn, lounge chairs, and a speaker. More information »
