SpaceX Plans Microsatellite Launch From Vandenberg

Hawthorne-based SpaceX will attempt to put two, orbiting microsatellites into space--prototypes for an effort to provide widespread, high speed satellite Internet across the globe--from its launch this week from Vandenberg Air Force Base, according to documents filed by SpaceX with the FCC. The two satellites--Microsat-2a and Microsat-2b, will piggyback on this weekend's planned launch, which is currently slated for 6:17am on Saturday.
