AeroVironment Wins $44.5M Contract

Monrovia-based unmanned aircraft systems developer AeroVironment reports that it has received a big, $44.5M contract for its Puma II AE platform, with an un-nnamed, major country in the Middle East. According to Aerovironment, the deal is the largest-ever international contract for the company. Aerovironment's Puma AE is being used for both ground and maritime operations, according to the company. The Puma is the same platform that Aerovironment said last week is being used by the Royal Canadian Navy, in a much smaller deployment deal.
