SleepScore Labs Buys Sleep.ai For Wearable Device

Carlsbad-based SleepScore Labs, a developer of a system for sleep improvement for consumers, announced that it has acquired Sleep.ai, a developer of a wearable that helps consumers figure out if they snore or grind their teeth when sleeping. Financial details of the buy were not announced. Sleep.ai was based in the Netherlands, and was foundedin 2014. SleepScore said that Sleep.ai founder and CEO Michiel Allessie, a Dutch board-certified sleep dentist, will join the SleepScore Labs team in Carlsbad as VP of Snoring and Bruxism. SleepScore Labs is led by Colin Lawlor, and is a joint venture of ResMed, Dr. Mehmet Oz, and Pegasus Capital Advisors L.P.
