Rocket Lab Wins Launch Deal With Japanese Company

Long Beach-based Rocket Lab reported last week that it has signed a launch deal with a Japanese company, the nstitute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, Inc. (iQPS), a Japan-based Earth imaging company. According to Rocket Lab, iQPS has signed a dedicated launch deal. The company said iQPS had originally planed to sent its satellite to space on "another launch vehicle", but decided to expedite deployment on an Electron. Rocket Lab did not detail that "other launch vehicle", however, it is well known that iQPS had originally signed a launch deal with now-bankrupt (and disassembled) company Virgin Orbit.
