Funraise Finds $9.7M For Nonprofit Fundraising

Long Beach-based Funraise, which develops nonprofit fundraising software, has raised $9.7M in an investment in its Series A funding, the company said this week. According to Funraise, the funding was led by Toba Capital, and also included angel Blaine Vess, the founder of Student Brands. Funraise was founded by Justin Wheeler (CEO), Tony Sasso (CPO), and Jason Swenski (CTO). The company said it already has 28 full time employees, and nearly 400 customers. Rajan Aggarwal of Toba Capital will join the company's board as part of the funding. Toba already has a seat on the board of Funraise, which is held by Vinny Smith. Funraise has now raised $13M in total.
