GumGum Touts Growth In Employees, Clients

Santa Monica-based GumGum Sports, the developer of computer-vision software used for "sport media valuation", led by Ophir Tanz, said on Wednesday that it has doubled both its number of employees, and number of clients in 2018. The company did not announced how many employees it added, nor how many clients. GumGum Sports also claimed it more than quadrupled its revenues. GumGum did not elaborate on those revenues. GumGum Sports uses its computer vision tools to help sports teams show the effectiveness of exposure to its advertisers, by automatically monitoring games and helping teams quantify how much exposure their sponsors are gaining from their support. The company says it now counts many partners from the NHL, NBA, MLB and esports, including the Canadian Football League, CONMEBOL (South American Football Confederation), the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Houston Astros, Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia 76ers, Sixers Gaming GC, Team Dignitas), the Tampa Bay Rays and the Toronto Blue Jays.
