HAAWK Acquires Keyframe Audio

Los Angeles-based HAAWK, the provider of rights management and monetization services for YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram which is led by Ryan Born, said on Wednesday that it had acquired Keyframe Audio, a music startup which offered up micro-stock music licensing. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. HAAWK said that it will launch a new service, Identifyy.com, which will offer up a self-service rights management portal for independent artists and do-it-yourself (DIY) musicians. HAAWK said that the acquisition of Keyframe Audio helps it expand its services to the "micro stock" music market, which lets video producers to access unlimited downloads of 50,000 royalty-free stock music tracks. The price of the service is $199 per year. Born said that it is targeting YouTube creators who "want to avoid receiving copyright claim notices on their YouTube, Facebook and Instagram uploads."
