Headspace Shuffles CEO As Founders Step Back

Santa Monica-based mindfulness and meditation service Headspace has shuffled its executive team, saying on Monday that it will be naming CeCe Morken as the CEO of the company. Morken was previously President and COO of the company, having been appointed to that role in April of 2020. The co-founders of Headspace, Rich Pierson and Andy Puddicombe, are transitioning to become co-executive Chairman of the company. The shift will happen on January 1st. According to Pierson, in a statement, the two co-founders are stepping back to devote more time to philanthropic endeavors. The company reports it has doubled its new subscribers in the past six months versus the same period last year. Morken was previously at Intuit.
