HyreCar Extends Online Car Rentals To New York

Los Angeles-based online car rental service HyreCar, which lets users rent out their vehicles to others--including short term rentals to Uber and Lyft drivers--says it has expanded its service to the state of New York. HyreCar says it now has operations in 29 states. HyreCar specifically targets its peer-to-peer car rental marketplace to towards drivers wanting to drive for ride sharing services. The company lets those drivers rent cars by the day, week, or month, from individual vehicle owners. HyreCar is led by CEO Joe Furnari.
