HyreCar Links With DriveItAway

Los Angeles-based HyreCar, which operates a car sharing marketplace, said today that it is in a strategic partnership with DriveItAway, a car dealership company that offers up turn-key software, insurance, and training to help car dealerships aimed at the ridesharing market get off the ground. According to the two, they are working to create a "collaborative turnkey solution" which allow DriveItAway franchises and independent car dealers to list their vehicles on HyreCar's platform. DriveItAway already runs several rental programs specifically aimed at ridesharing drivers, including a rent-to-own program aimed at Lyft and other ridesharing drivers. HyreCar is led by CEO Joe Furnari. The financial details of the partnership between HyreCar and DriveItAway were not announced. HyreCar recently shifted in a small IPO to the public market.
