Inphi, Started In Westlake Village, Now Part Of Marvell After $10 Billion Deal

Marvell announced this morning that Inphi Corp. is now officially part of the company, after the company's $10 billion acquisition of the semiconductor maker. Inphi was started in Southern California, in Westlake Village. According to Marvell, Dr. Ford Tamer, who had been president and CEO of Inphi, has joined the company's board of directors. Tamer previously also was CEo of Telegent Sytsems, served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Broadcom's Infrastructure Networking Group, and was co-founder and CEO of Agere, Inc., which is now part of Intel's Ixia product line. Marvell paid $66 in cash and 2.323 shares of stock of the combined company for each Inphi share.
