Leucadia Therapeutics Names CFO

San Diego-based Leucadia Therapeutics announced this morning that it has appointed its first CFO, Edward (Ned) Shadek, Jr. According to the company, Shadek has been at Putnam Investments for 17 years, including six years as senior managing director and deputy head of investments and six years as chief investment officer of small/mid cap equities, and also serving as partner and director of portfolio strategy at Newbold's Asset Management. He also served early on in his career at Price Waterhouse. Leucadia Therapeutics is focused on treatments for Alzheimer's disease.
