MaxLinear Gets Brazilian Cert

Carlsbad-based radio frequency chip maker MaxLinear said today that it has received a certification in Brazil, which gives it access to an upcoming government subsidy program in that county. According to MaxLinear, its MxL683 ISDB-T receiver has been been certified for immunity to LTE interference, a requirement in Brazil, where LTE uplink frequencies and digital television signals are immediately next to each other--a high probability of interface. LTE in Brazil is at 703MHz, ISDB-T is at 698Mhz. MaxLinear said the testing was done at Mackenzie Presbyterian University in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
