Miso Robotics' Officially Deploys At CaliBurger, Inks Sports Partnership

Pasadena-based robot developer Miso Robotics says it has officially launched its burger flipping robot, "Flippy", at CaliBurger's Pasadena location--and, separately, has inked a partnership to bring its robotics technology to the sports and entertainment venue market. Miso's robot flips burger patties and cooks them to order, removing them from the grill when ready. Miso Robotics said its robot--powered by artificial intelligence software, thermal vision, and other technology--handles everything from placing burgers on the grill, to flipping them, to monitoring when they are ready, plus cleaning spatulas and wiping the surface of the grill whe needed. In the partnership deal, Miso Robotics said it has tied with sports and entertainment hospitality company Levy, where Levy will bring robotic kitchen assistants to sports and entertainment venues. Miso Robotics' investors include both Levy and investors associated with CaliBurger, in addition to Acacia Research Corporation.
