AirGain Gets $1.875MCarlsbad-based AirGain, a developer of high performance, smart antennas for the Wi-Fi and MIMO parket, has raised nearly $1.875M out of an ongoing, $3.75M funding round, according to a regulatory filing from the firm last week. Online Learning Firm With Links To USC Gets FundedA New York-based online learning firm with links to the University of Southern California has scored a round of funding, and added Redpoint's Greg Martin to its board, the firm said this morning. 2tor said it raised $10M in a Series A financing from Redpoint Ventures, along with Novak Biddle Venture Partnres and City Light Capital, for its service, which helps universities create online degree programs. Geodelic Ships Application With T-MobileSanta Monica-based Geodelic announced today that the firm is shipping a new application for local discovery, along with T-Mobile USA. According to the venture backed firm, the new software for T-Mobile's myTouch 3G, learns a user's favorite locations and helps them find local retailers, restaurants, and attractions. RealD Releases Install NumbersLos Angeles-based RealD, a developer of 3D movie projection equipment, has released its latest install numbers, saying over the weekend that it now has over 8,700 screens contracted, and over 3,200 screens installed with its technology. In addition, the firm said it saw 400% growth in Europe in the first half of the year. Power-One Inks Patent Deal With Texas InstrumentsCamarillo-based Power-One, a developer of power supplies and other power conversion products, said today that the firm has agreed to license its digital power technology patents to Texas Instruments. According to Power-One, the non-exclusive, patent license covers access to Power-One's portfolio of digital power technology patents for use in TI's DC/DC controllers and modules, but does not include merchant stand-alone power supplies that use TI controllers.
