HopSkipDrive Picks Up $25M More
Los Angeles-based HopSkipDrive, which operates a transportation service focused on kids and school, has raised $25M in its Series C funding, according to the company. The company said the new funding came from Energy Impact Partners, Keyframe Capital, FirstMark Capital, and 1776 Ventures. The company--which originally focused on families, but now is focused on providing youth transportation for schools--says now is operating in 16 major markets in nine states, and is now contracting with over 30 (More info...)

Replicated Ties Into AWS Partner Program
Culver City-based Replicated, a startup that provides commercial and open source tools to streamline distribution and management of third party applications into enterprises, says it has linked in with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN) Global Startup Program. The company said the move will help it accelerate its growth and provide customers with expanded installation options. Replicated is led by co-founder and CEO Grant Miller. Acorns Taps Twitter Exec As New CFO
Irvine-based savings and investing app developer Acorns has tapped an executive from Twitter as its new Chief Financial Officer, the company said this morning. According to Acorns, it has named Rich Sullivan as CFO, ahead of its expected public listing. Sullivan was previously head of Corporate Finance and FP&A at Twitter, and also had served at STX Entertainment and DreamWorks Animation, in addition to AT&T. GumGum Acquires JustPremium
Santa Monica-based contextual advertising technology developer GumGum says it has acquired JustPremium, a rich media and video ad marketplace in Europe. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. JustPremium is based in Amsterdam, and has approximately 150 employees. According to GumGum, JustPremium's CEO, Eric Visser, becomes President of EMEA for GumGum. GumGum said that its 2021 revenues are on track to grow over 40% compared to last year, and the addition of JustPremium will help (More info...)
