Wednesday, September 14, 2022Morpheus Space Finds $28M In Series ALos Angeles-based Morpheus Space, which is developing space propulsion technology, says it has raised $28M in a Series A funding round. The funding was led by Alpine Space Ventures, and also included Morpheus Ventures, Vsquared Ventures, Lavrock Ventures, Airbus Ventures, In-Q-Tel, Pallas Ventures, and Techstars Ventures. The company said the new funding will towards a manufacturing and a factory in Dresden, Germany. Morpheus Space is led by CEO and co-founder Daniel Bock.

HopSkipDrive Gets $37M In Series DLos Angeles-based HopSkipDrive, which provides school transportation using private vehicles operated by screened caregivers, said on Tuesday that it has raised $37M in a Series D funding. The funding came from Energy Impact Partners, Keyframe Capital, FirstMark Capital, Alumni Ventures, Transform Capital and others. MSBAI Gets STTR Contract From Space ForceLos Angeles-based space simulation software developer MSBAI, which was part of the Air Force Techstars 2020 program, says it has been awarded a Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase 1 contract from the US Space Force, along with its partners Georgia Tech and the University of Central Florida. According to MSBAI, the contract will go to adapt its simulation software for In-space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM) missions.
