NASA Plans Launch On Rocket Lab Today
NASA said today that it is launching four satellites today, on a rocket from Long Beach-based Rocket Lab. According to NASA, the NASA Starling CubeSat mission will send four "cereal-box-sized" satellites into low Earth orbit, in order to test "autonomous spacecraft swarm technologies". The launch is targeted for 7:30pm PST, with a launch from New Zealand. Westlake Village BioPartners Raises $450M Fund
Los Angeles-based Westlake Village BioPartners said this morning that it has raised a new, $450M fund, its third fund. According to the firm, the new fund brings its total raised to $1.3 billion. Readout AI Gets Funding For Clinical Trial Software
Los Angeles-based Readout AI has raised a pre-seed funding round, which will help it "turbocharge the biostatistical and medical writing tasks associated with clinical trials." Size of the funding was not announced. According to the company, the funding was led by Meridian Street Capital, with participation from Mucker Capital, Necessary Ventures, and angel investor Ryan Fukushima (COO of Tempus and CEO of Pathos).
