FIGS Taps Former GameStop, Chewy Exec As CTO
Santa Monia-based scrubs and other healthcare apparel provider FIGS said today that it has named Mark Bixby as the company's new Chief Technology Officer. Bixby was most recently VP of Engineering at GameStop, and also had been VP of Engineering for Chewy, and also has served at Wayfair.

Surf Air Mobility Raises $7.5M
Los Angeles-based regional personal air travel provider Surf Air said this morning that it has raised $7.5M from Luxembourg-based Gem Global Yield LLC SCS (GGY), as part of a deal to further fund the company. The company said it filed an S-1 as part of the fundraising, to "satisfy certain conditions" associated with the effort. Docupace Aims At Software Developers
Los Angeles-based fintech software developer Docupace is aiming to attract more third party development for its tools, saying today that it has launched a new, "Developer Portal" where developers can access and learn about its APIs. The company said the new portal is aimed at making it easier for developer to build products using its APIs. The company offers up its software for digitizing and automating operations in the financial advice and investment industry.

EnGenius Signs Distributor
Costa Mesa-based wireless networking equipment maker EnGenius Technology says it has signed on WAV, as well as its Canadian affiliate MBSI WAV, as a distributor for its equipment. EnGenius is known for its wireless networking routers and related equipment. According to EnGenius, WA and MBSI WAV are value-added distributors of Wi-Fi, networking, wireless broadband and fiber solutions throughout the US and Canada.
