OCTANe, California Life Sciences Association Launch Dual Program

OCTANe, the industry group which focuses on Orange County life sciences and technology companies, and the California Life Sciences Association (CLSA), said on Wednesday they are launching a new Life Sciences Growth Accelerator Program, which it says will help emerging life sciences companies. According to the two, the dual membership program will provide access to programs, roundtables, and networking events; savings on lab equipment through a purchasing program; legislative advocacy; access to incubation and acceleration programs; and more. Although it's called an "accelerator", the program does not appear to have the same structure as traditional, startup accelerators, in that it does not include any funding, physical space, mentorship, or other hallmarks of what has generally been defined as startup acceleration in recent years.
