Picogrid Picks Up $950M Air Force Contract

El Segundo-based Picogrid, a developer of systems for the defense industry, says it has been awarded a $950M contract from the U.S. Air Force. According to the company, the contract is aimed at "open systems design, modern software and algorithm development in order to enable Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2)." The company said it is building a "remotely-operated, AI-enabled device, configurable with sensors and equipment modules (e.g., visual/IR cameras, thermal imaging, radar, software-defined radio) to fulfill various mission requirements."
