Platform Science Gets Canadian Certification

San Diego-based connected vehicle platform developer Platform Science said last week that its Electronic Logging Device (ELD) technology--used for monitoring trucking--has been certified in Canada. Platform Science says the certification comes ahead of a June 12 deadline for all truck fleets to be equipped with a certified ELD. ELD's--which are currently used across the United States--are used to track a truck driver hours and reduce fatigue-related crashes and injuries. Platform Science just raised a big, $115M venture capital round from SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and others.
