Regard Expands AI Deal With Sentara Health

Los Angeles-based AI-based health software developer Regard says it has expaneded a "strategic partnership" with healthcare provider Sentara Health. According to the company--which provides AI tools to help clinicians diagnose medical conditions--the expanded deal will provide access to its technology in all 12 of Sentara's hospitals. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Regard says its AI tools help automate clinician note taking, improve diagnostic accuracy, plus "elevate patient care, and optimize financial outcomes". The company says its AI tools specifically are aimed at helping clinicians complete administrative tasks like documentation. The company says its automatically scans data from the electronic medical record, recommends diagnoses, and drafts the note for the clinician.
