Relativity Takes $35M More For 3D Printed Rockets

Los Angeles-based Relativity, which is developing automated, robot-based, 3D printing technology specifically aimed at manufacturing space rockets, has raised $35M in a Series B funding round, the company said today. The funding came from Playground Global, Social Capital, Y Combinator Continuity, and angel investor Mark Cuban. The company has locations both in Los Angeles, as well as Stennis, Mississippi, and also has linked to both USC and Stanford. Relativity says its goal it to create a orbital launch company that will deploy and resupply satellite constellations. More information »
