Report: Walmart May Be Looking To Buy Vizio For $2 Billion

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Walmart is considering a bid to acquire Irvine-based smart TV maker Vizio, in a deal reportedly worth around $2 billion. The Wall Street Journal cited "people familiar with the situation". It's unclear how serious or how far along those talks might be; reports of similar deals typically occur when investment bankers are shopping for other, competing offers for companies for large investment/acquisition deals.
