Resonant Gets $10M From Murata Manufacturing

Goleta-based radio frequency (RF) front end manufacturer Resonant announced this morning that it has reached an investment deal to raise $10M in a private placement, led by Murata Manufacturing Co.. According to Resonant, the deal gives Murata Manufacturing the right to multiple filter designs using Resonant's technology. Resonant's filters are used in mobile handsets and wireless devices. According to Resonant, which is publicly traded on the NASDAQ as RESN, the private placement was priced at $2.53 per share. Resonant said the closing of Murata's investment is also subject to the execution of a definitive multi-year commercial agreement providing Murata with rights to multiple designs utilizing Resonant’s technology, and applicable governmental approval.
