Shield AI Selected For DoD Pilot Program

San Diego-based artificial intelligence software developer Shield AI says it has been selected for a U.S. Department of Defense program. According to the company, its artificial intelligence piloting software is being included as part of a set of projects being aimed at semi-autonomous, long-loiter, vertical takeoff, and landing-capable unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Financial impact of the win was not announced. The win is part of the Accelerate the Procurement and Fielding of Innovative Technologies (APFIT) program.
