SmartDrive Wins 400 Vehicle Fleet

San Diego-based video safety and transportation monitoring provider SmartDrive Systems announced it has signed on Clariant, a specialty chemicals company with a fleet of approximately 400 vehicles, as a customer. Financial impact of the win was not announced. According to SmartDrive, Clariant will use its video-based safety program with its Oil Service business. SmartDrive said Clariant homes to get better transparency into driver behavior, and to help improve its driver safety efforts.
