Snap Launches New Original Series

Santa Monica-based Snap announced a series of brand new, original content, called Snap Originals this morning, which includes content developed by established film and television writers, as well as others. The company said the original content includes a number of serialized shows, "docuseries", and other efforts. Snap said it is tapping such groups as Bunim/Murray Productions, The Duplass Brothers' DBP Donut, and Brad Weston's Makeready On Board for the initial lineup. Snap said the effort is part of its partnership with NBCUniversal and Viacom. The original shows will be on the Snapchat Discover page, as well as available through search.
