Snap Loses Head Of Spectacles Division

Venice-based Snap lost the head of its Spectacles division earlier this month, according to a report on Tuesday, as Snap continues to struggle to make its connected sunglasses more appealing to users. Snap--the parent company of Snapchat--launched the second version of its Spectacles in April. According to an email leaked out of Snap, Mark Randall, Vice President of Hardware at Snap, will form his own company after leaving Snap; the departure apparently comes as part of a decision by snap to "realign the team" under Snap SVP of Engineering Jerry Hunter.
