Spotter Snags $200M For YouTube Content

Los Angeles-based Spotter, which provides cash to license existing content from YouTube creators, says it has raised $200M in a Series D funding roudn. The company said the funding was led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, and gives it a valuation of $1.7 billion. The company said it had previously raised $55M across three, prior undisclosed rounds of funding. Spotter is led by Founder and CEO Aaron Debevoise. The company says that so far it has licensed content that consists of hundreds of thousands of videos, generating over 40 billion monthly watch-time minutes. More information »
