Stratolaunch Plans Test Flight Today

Mojave-based rocket launch vehicle developer Stratolaunch said that it will run its fifth test flight today of its Roc carrier aircraft, which will carry and release a hypersonic test vehicle for NASA this morning around 7:15am. The company originally had developed its vehicle for launching satellites into space, but recently has pivoted to providing a testbed for hypersonic flight testing for NASA and others. The company had been the project of now deceased Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen in the billionaire's race to space.
