Synteract Buys Cu-Tech

San Diego-based Synteract, a contract research organization (CRO) which runs clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry, said today that it has acquired Cu-Tech, a contract research organization which specializes in dermatology. Synteract said it would use the buy to create a "dedicated center of dermatology development" at the company. Cu-Tech was based in New Jersey. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Synteract said Cu-Tech has managed more than 130 dermatology trials.
