Tandem Diabetes Care Plans Expansion To Canada

San Diego-based Tandem Diabetes Care, which makes insulin pumps for the treatment of diabetes, said on Tuesday afternoon that it has applied for a Health Canada medical device license, and plans to launch its products in Canada in the second half of the year. The company said it has submitted a medical device license application to Health Canada to market its t:slim X2 Insulin Pump with Dexcom G5 Mobile continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) integration. The company said the launch is subject to regulatory approvals.
