Techstars Relaunching Healthcare Accelerator In LA

Startup accelerator operator Techstars said that it is re-launching its healthcare program in Los Angeles. According to Techstars, it is working with Cedars-Sinai, Point32Health, UCI Health, and UnitedHealthcare to relaunch its accelerator, Techstars Healthcare. Techstars said the program will be based in Los Angeles, and will select 12, high-growth startups to participate in a 13-week program. The re-launched accelerator will be led by Techstars' veteran Matt Kozlov. The startup accelerator operator previously ran seven accelerator programs with Cedars-Sinai and UnitedHealthcare; Techstars said it has had nearly 200 companies through its various accelerators in Los Angeles, who have collectively raised $1.4 billion in venture capital. Techstars says it is now running five programs a year in Los Angeles, including twice yearly Techstars Los Angeles, along with Techstars Music and Techstars Space.
