The Young Turks Launches Native App For iOS

The Young Turks, the online political news and video site led by Cenk Uygur, said this morning that it has rolled out what is its first, native mobile app, called TYT Plus. The new app, for iOS, allows users to view all of TYT's content, including video, podcasts, live shows, and members-only features. The company said that its members--with memberships that start at $10 a month--get access to ad-free videos and podcasts. TYT said it will be releasing an Android version later this year. TYT Network provides online news, targeting millennials, and focuses on politics, pop culture, and lifestyle. The company raised a $20M funding round back in August of last year, from 3L Capital, Greycroft, e.ventures and WndrCo.
