U-Nest Launches 529 College Savings App

Los Angeles-based U-Nest, a new fintech startup, said this morning that it has launched a brand new, mobile app to help people tackle the college savings process. According to U-Nest, its app lets users create and establish a 529 college savings plan for their child, and shortcuts what it says a process which could take "several hours" and the use of an expensive financial planner. The company claims it only takes five minutes for users to create their 529 Savings Plan through their app. The new startup was founded and is led by CEO Ksenia Yudina, who the company says is a mother of three and a financial advisor. Yudina previously spent the last four years working at Capital Group/American Funds, a large provider of 529 Education Savings plans.
