Viasat Extends In Flight Wireless Deal With Honeywell

Carlsbad-based Viasat, which offers up in-flight wireless and other satellite services, said it has linked with Honeywell, to offer up in-flight Internet services to the business aircraft market. According to the two, Honeywell will offer up Viasat's high-speed, Ka-band in-flight internet services as part of Honeywell's GoDirect Cabin Connectivity suite of services. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Those services are marketed to large and mid-cabin business jet customers. The companies said certified Viasat Ka-band units will be available for several business jet airframes in the second half of the year.
