Viasat Targets Businesses With New High Speed Satellite Internet

Carlsbad-based satellite Internet provider Viasat has rolled out a new high speed, satellite Internet service targeted at business customers, saying today that it will offer up unlimited, broadband plans specifically designed for businesses. According to Viasat, its new business service will offer up download speeds that will range from 35 Mbps to 100 Mbps, in "select" areas. Pricing on the new broadband, satellite Internet service was not announced by Viasat. Viasat is targeting business customers who are out of the reach of cable and fiber, and who want faster service than offered by DSL and T1 connections.
