ViewSonic Offers Free Distance Learning Software To Schools

Brea, California-based ViewSonic, which manufacturers computer displays as well as digital projectors, interactive displays, as well as other related products, says it is offering up free access to its distance learning tools to schools and universities, as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 virus outbreak. According to ViewSonic, it says schools and educators will be able to access it Premium tier of its myViewBoard software, through September of 2020. The company's software lets teachers run video conferences, a "digital whiteboard", and also provides other virtual classroom and learning tools. A significant number of U.S. universities, colleges, and even K-12 institutions have made the transition to online-only teaching over the last week, as the COVID-19 outbreak has spread across the United States.
