Zesty.io Picks Up $1.5M in Funding

San Diego-based Zesty.io, a startup developing web content management systems, said on Wednesday that it has raised $1.5M in a new funding. The funding came from ClearVision Equity Partners, a local San Diego investors. According to Zesty.io, the new funding comes on top of an existing investment, bring its total raised to $2.8M. The company's existin investors include Andy Ballester, the co-founder of GoFundMe; Taner Halicioglu, co-founder of Seed San Diego; and Dave Hagewood, CEO of Psyonix (publisher of the video game Rocket League). Zesty.io said the new funding will go towards sales and marketing, plus its product development roadmap. Zesty.io's CEO is Gerry Widmer.
