Akonix Rolls Out IM Appliance
San Diego-based Akonix has launched a new, integrated instant messaging appliance. According to the company, its Akonix L7 CM5000 appliance provides all-in-one IM management, compliance, and security. The appliance runs the Akonix software suite on a hardened, pre-loaded system and is designed to reduce set up time and adminstration for the company's products. The 1U rack mounted server appliance includes features of the Akonix L7 Enterprise and Akonix Enforcer software. Akonix software allows for monitoring and control of instant messaging systems.
