Broadcom Announces GigE Switch Line Upgrade

Irvine-based Broadcom said today that it is shipping a new generation of multi-layer Gigabit Ethernet switches. The firm's new StrataXGS III Gigabit Ethernet switches add new network admission control (NAC) features and network security. The switches also support Microsoft's Network Access Protection policy enforcement, part of Windows Vista and Windows Server products. The switches are an upgrade on Broadcom's existing line of Gigabit Ethernet switches.
