Conexant Announces VoIP CoProcessors
Newport Beach-based Conexant said this morning that its has introduced a new suite of voice coprocessors designed for the Voice-over-IP market. The company's new CX9041X family is targeted at voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) phones, analog terminal adaptors (ATAs), digital subscriber line (DSL) voice routers, integrated access devices (IADs), and multi-tenant unit/multi-dwelling unit (MTU/MDU) voice and data systems. The coprocessors provide compression and decompression, echo cancellation, and interfaces to public switched telephone systems.
