Conexant Rolls Out New Audio Chip
Newport Beach-based semiconductor manufacturer Conexant Systems has rolled out new chips which target the high definition audio market, the firm said today. Conexant said its new "speakers-on-a-chip" products provides digital audio/voice processors, audio codecs, and Class-D amplifiers into a single chip. The firm said the new device -- the CX20562 -- is targeted at PC sounds systems, speaker systems, LCD monitors, iPod and other MP3 player docking systems, and VoIP speakerphones. Conexant is a manufacturer of semiconductors for the networking, digital imaging, media processing, and other markets.
