Conexant Gets Set Top Design Win
Newport Beach-based Conexant has scored a design win for its high defition set-top-box chips, saying this week that Humax, a manufacturer of digital set top boxes will use its CX2417X/CX2418X set top box solution. The chips will be incorporated into a new receiver for ComHem, a Swedish voice/video/data operator. Conexant's chipsets provide interfaces for HD television, MPEG decoders, Dolby Digital decoding, and digital broadcast standards. The deal was done in conjunction with Conax AS, a supplier of digital content protection technology for digital TV.
