Conexant Gets Set Top Box Win

Newport Beach-based Conexant Semiconductor has scored a set top box chip win with Coship Electronics, a Chinese manufacturer of set-top boxes. Conexant said that Coship will integrate Conexant's MPEG/H.264 silicon in its Anysight220c IP receiver. The set top box will be deployed in Asia for standard and high-definition television programming next year. Coship's design uses three Conexant chips, including its video decoder for MPEG-4 and a high definition broadcase decoder for HDTV.
